International Workshop: “Biomaterials: Key Technologies for Better Healthcare”
The International Workshop “Biomaterials: Key Technologies for Better Healthcare” in the framework of the “European Virtual Institute on Knowledge‐Based Multifunctional Materials (KMM‐VIN AISBL)” was held on 27th‐28th September 2017, in Erlangen. The workshop was chaired by Professor Aldo R. Boccaccini (Institute of Biomaterials). The workshop brought together experts working in the broad area of biomedical materials both in industry and academia, covering topics related to design, fabrication, characterisation and applications of a wide variety of biomaterials. The program included a combination of keynote, contributed and poster presentations and attracted a broad audience of researchers from industry and academia. To mark the relevance of biomaterials research at FAU, Prof. Boccaccini was interviewed by the FAU press office. The interview is available (in German).
