Nicoletta Toniolo wins oral presentation prize

Ms Nicoletta Toniolo, doctoral student at the Institute of Biomaterials (WW7) under supervision of Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, won the 3rd prize for best oral presentation at the 2nd International conference on alkali activated materials and geopolymers, held 27th May – 1st June 2018 in Tomar, Portugal, organised in the framework of the Engineering Conferences International (ECI) series.

Ms Toniolo works in the EU Horizon 2020 ETN project CoACH (“Advanced glasses, composites and ceramics for high growth industries”). Her oral contribution was entitled: “Use of soda lime glass waste as silica supplier in fly ash based geopolymers”.

The prize was sponsored by the Journal of the European Ceramics Society Trust (JECS Trust).

Ms Toniolo was also the recipient of a JECS Trust travel grant to attend the conference.
