The WW Soccer Tournament 2026

On July 23, 2026, this year’s WW soccer tournament took place in pleasantly mild summer weather.

This year, six teams from the WW1, WW2/WTM, WW3, WW5/LSP, WW7/BioMat, and WW9/IMN departments competed against each other for the coveted challenge cup.

For the first time in the history of WW soccer, the WW9 team claimed victory, defeating the long-time tournament champion from the WW1 department in a thrilling final.

The WW2/WTM team won the third-place match against the WW3 team. The WW7/BioMat team finished in fifth place after defeating the WW5/LSP team. The latter had to play the entire tournament without any substitutes. For this reason, this team deserves special praise for their fighting spirit and perseverance!!
