The “energy question” is one of the most important challenges of the 21st century. As the world’s population grows and becomes more prosperous, energy demand is rising while fossil energy reserves simultaneously decline.  Meanwhile, greenhouse gas emissions are causing the devastating effects of climate change, placing energy technology and related sectors at the forefront of public policy and the economic debates.
