On behalf of the organization committee, we are very delighted to cordially invite all interested students and (junior) researchers to the Next Generation Solar Energy Conference, which will take place from December 6-8, 2021. The conference on “Concepts to break the Detailed-Balance Limit in Photovoltaics” will take place hybrid in Erlangen and Boulder, USA. All program sessions can be attended digitally, a flyer and the conference programme are online.

Solar photovoltaic technologies are already playing an important role in meeting the world’s growing energy demand. Markets for photovoltaics are expected to continue growing rapidly. Combining environmentally friendly base materials with highest conversion efficiencies at the lowest possible production costs is essential to guarantee global deployment. A special feature of the 6th conference is the focus on Latin America (NGSE-LatAm). An educational program will be offered specifically in Spanish, where students and researchers can learn about the latest in photovoltaic technology.

NGSE-LatAm will focus on organic, nanostructured and Perovskite photovoltaics, as well as innovative applications and next-generation photovoltaic technology.

NGSE VI is getting valuable support from multiple sponsors and institutions, among them the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, the excellence graduate school SAOT,  the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg (HI ERN), the National Renewable Energy Labs (NREL), the International Research Training Group “Energy Conversion Systems: From Materials to Devices” (IGK 2495), the CRC 953 on Carbon Allotropes,  from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and from Wiley VCH.

There is no charge to attend the conference.

Registration for the Zoom participation will open this week (November 25th) here.
